SUKKUR, Nov 12: Hundreds of angry members of Chachar community staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Tuesday to protest against what they called attempts by a federal and a provincial minister of their area to protect some members of Kalwar community who had allegedly killed three Chachars and injured six, including two women in an armed attack on their houses in Pano Akil sometime back.

The protesters said that police did not arrest the accused including main culprits Saleem Kalwar, Pervez and Abdul Ghaffar who were among those ten attackers involved in killing three youths viz; Ghulamullah Chachar, Sanaullah Chachar and Siraj Ahmed Chachar despite registration of FIR against them.

They said that the two ministers were protecting main culprit Saleem Kalwar while they (the Chachar community) are being threatened either to withdraw the cases or face the consequences.

They appealed to the police high ups to do justice with them.
