Mediators to settle tribal dispute

JACOBABAD, Nov 11: The custodian of Haleji shrine along with other notables and disciples reached Ghouspur to settle the ongoing dispute between Oghai and Teghani clans.

The feud had cropped up over the theft of cattle, and so far, had claimed over 50 lives, including of women and children.

The custodian of shrine Haleji Moulvi Abdul Qayoom, Moulvi Abdul Samad with notables from Kandhkot, Kashmore, Ghouspur and others arrived at Tegho Khan Teghani village to settle the bloody dispute between Teghani and Oghai clansmen.

Moulvi Abdul Qayoom met with Sardar Tegho Khan Teghani who agreed over settling the dispute.

Later, he also met with Rais Ali Murad Oghai. Ali Murad told him that their chieftain Abid Ali Sundrani was presently in Karachi, they should talk to him and fix a date for settlement.

KILLED: A man was killed in Kandhkot on Tuesday over an old feud between Jakhrani and Bhayo clans.

Shahnawaz was on his way at Bhittai chowk when six armed men opened fire killing him on the spot.
