KARACHI, Nov 9: The World Diabetes Day was observed in the city on Sunday with several medical organizations and NGOs holding awareness programmes about the prevention and cure of the disease.
The theme of the occasion this year is “Diabetes in children and adolescents.”
The World Diabetes Day slogan is “Know the warning signs”.
At a gathering organized by the Diabetic Association of Pakistan (DAP), speakers noted that the World Diabetes Day-2008 campaign focused on the message that “no child should die of diabetes”.—APP
