RAWALPINDI, Nov 8: Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, who is on an official visit to Saudia Arabia, called on Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, deputy prime minister and minister of defence, and Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, assistant defence minister for military affairs.

According to a message received here on Saturday, matters of mutual interest were discussed and it was agreed to enhance ties between the armies of the two countries.

The COAS expressed gratitude to the government and people of Saudi Arabia for exemplary support extended to Pakistan at all times.

Gen Kayani also called on Lt-Gen Hussain bin Abdullah Al-Qubayyal, commander royal Saudi land forces, and discussed matters of professional interest and cooperation with him.
