LAHORE, Nov 6: Ahmed Zubair stole the limelight scoring all six goals enabling Ahmed’s Own to beat Hira Valves 6-5 in the Rose Petal Polo Cup on Thursday.

Ahmed, who had scored two in the first chukker and one in the second, came to his team’s rescue in the final fourth chukker scoring three goals in a row to seal the fate of the match.

For the losers, who had half-goal handicap, Mohsin Atta Khan Khosa struck four while

Jawad Jamil Malik chipped in with a goal. Besides six matches of two chukkers each were also played. Adisseo defeated Pony Express 3-2.

In another match, Pony Express were again beaten by Data Hybrid 3- 2. However, in the next match Data were defeated by Adisseo 3-2. Similarly, Miaco Carpets beat Mixed Bag 5-2. Miaco also defeated Charbagh’s Own 4- 1. Charbagh in turn defeated Mixed Bag 2-1.
