ISLAMABAD, Nov 5: The Shahzad Town police recovered a four-year-old girl kidnapped from the city on July 7.

A spokesman for the police said Bisma, daughter of Ali Ahmad, a resident of Garden Town, was recovered from Peshawar. The kidnap victim’s father is in Saudi Arabia in connection with his job. The mother of the girl registered a complaint with the police nominating a man in the case. She said the accused used to live in a room adjacent to her house.

A police team headed by DSP Ishaq Waraich and comprising SHO inspector Arshad Khokhar and SI Mubarak Ali conducted several raids in Peshawar, Azad Kashmir, Rawalpindi and Islamabad to trace the girl. Later, it succeeded in recovering the girl from Peshawar and also arrested eight accused involved in the crime.

The spokesman said Federal Minister for Environment Aminullah Jan Afridi had helped the police in recovery of the girl.
