Khurram excels in World snooker

KARACHI, Oct 31: Pakistan’s Khurram Agha conjured up his third victory in four outings when he sent local player Rudolf Schiefermair packing 4-0 in the IBSF World snooker championship in Wels, Austria, on Friday.

According to results reaching here the former Asian No 3 was home 66-48, 68-23, 70-1 and 63-17.

Earlier, after winning the first two fixtures including the one against an Israeli opponent, Khurram went down 1-4 to Steve Misfud in the third encounter.

Meanwhile, Saleh Mohammad’s hope of making it into the next stage were dashed when he tasted second successive defeat to UAE’s Mohamad Al Joaker 3-4 in his group on Thursday.

Saleh who was 2-1 and 3-2 up went down 17-60, 70-25, 61-34, 46-71, 64-33, 31-54 and 68-75.
