New role for Shoaib

KARACHI, Oct 28: Senior bureaucrat Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has taken the charge of Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Sindh, on Oct 23. The post was laying vacant following transfer of Mumtazur Rehman to the Governor House.

Prior to assuming the charge, Siddiqui was holding the portfolio of Secretary, Live Stock and Fisheries. Earlier, he held important positions as Deputy Commissioners of the formerly districts Central, East and South, additional secretary, Education, Excise, first EDO Finance and Planning, and Works, City District Government Karachi etc.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Hanif Mirchiwala who was serving as Deputy Secretary, SNGD, has been transferred as Director, Sports and Youth Affairs in BPS 19.

The post was fallen vacant following retirement of Ghulam Akbar Shah Bokhari on Aug 13.
