KARACHI, Oct 28: The Athletic Federation of Pakistan (AFP) has constituted an eight-member Management Committee to run the affairs of Sindh Athletic Association (SAA) until fresh elections.

The committee has been assigned the task to hold elections of the provincial body by Dec 31, 2008.

Headed by Razzak Arain of Hyderabad, the committee consists of Tariq Gujjar, secretary, (Karachi), Wajahat Makani (Larkana), Syed Abid Rizvi (Mirpur Khas), Noor Hasan Baloch (Sukkur), Rehana Yousuf (Karachi), Mohammad Imran (Karachi) and Syed Wasim Hashmi (representative SOA).

Meanwhile, open trials to select Sindh men’s and women’s athletic team for the upcoming third Inter-provincial Youth Games will be held at PSB Coaching Centre here on Nov 1 at 10.00am, secretary of the newly formed committee, Tariq Gujjar, announced on Tuesday.
