Factory workers thrash 2 robbers

LAHORE, Oct 28: Workers thrashed two robbers during a robbery bid at a garments factory on Bund Road in Lower Mall police precincts on Tuesday.

The police said four robbers entered Khaliq’s factory in front of Mian Muhammad Munshi Hospital and started looting staff and workers.

On raising alarm by workers, the robbers tried to flee but two of them were caught by the workers and locals and were given a sound thrashing.

The police rushed to the scene and shifted the injured identified as Ali Raza and Sajjad to the hospital. A case was also registered against the robbers.

ROBBERY: Three robbers entered Abdul Razzaq’s shop in the same police area, looted Rs3,500 in cash and valuables from the owner and a cell phone from a customer and fled.

THEFT: Thieves broke into Muhammad Tasueef’s house in Z-Block, DHA, and fled after collecting cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs1.2 million.

In another incident, thieves entered cell phone outlet of Abid Hussain in Karim Market, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and took away Rs175,000 in cash and cell phones.
