KARACHI, Oct 26: District Malir champions Sharafi Mohammadan gave District Central champions Maymar Sports a 7-0 drubbing while the Hazara Mohammadan and Hyderi

Baloch encounter resulted in a 1-1 draw in the KASB Premier League Football (PLF) at the CDGK Stadium on Saturday.

In beating Maymar, Sharafi broke Nazimabad FC’s record of beating the same side by 6-0, earlier. Sharafi Mohammadan’s star striker Abdul Haleem, besides being the top scorer with 12 goals, now also has the honour of scoring the event’s first double hat-trick.

The win included six goals by him and one by midfielder Mohammad Azam.

Sharafi’s first goal was scored by Azam in the 14th minute followed by Haleem’s six coming in the 16th, 26th, 34th, 54th, 59th and 64th minutes.

Meanwhile, Sharafi Mohammadan’s Shahjahan was shown his second yellow card of the event by referee Khalid Mumtaz, which prevents him from playing in the match against Hyderi Baloch on Tuesday.

The other match between Hazara Mohammadan and Hyderi Baloch saw Hazara drawing first blood when their winger Alam Zeb beat Hyderi’s goalie Murad Bakhsh to score in the 27th minute.

But Hyderi replied in the second half when a corner kick by Shakeel Abdullah was sent into the goal through a header by their substitute striker Majid Ghulam in the 51st minute.

Hyderi also missed out on a good chance when their defender Zulkarnain failed to utilise a penalty kick awarded as a result of a handball infringement by Hazara’s skipper Naeem Khan in the 73rd minute.
