JUC Inter-school TT from tomorrow

KARACHI, Oct 25: Seventeen educational institutions in boys and 10 in girls are to vie for honours in the third Jinnah University College (JUC) Inter-school table tennis championships which begins at the JUC premises on Oct 27.

Defending champion, Beaconhouse School System (Cambridge) PECHS, has been top seeded and drawn in group ‘A’ of the boys category. Last year’s losing finalist Fahim’s School O-level is seeded second followed by The City School PAF Chapter and The City School Gulshan Campus, respectively.

The boys’ teams have been drawn in four groups.

‘A’: Beaconhouse School System (Cambridge) PECHS, Fahim’s School A- level, Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus O-level, JUC ‘B’ and Beaconhouse North Nazimabad.

‘B’: Fahim’s School O-level, Nixor School A-level, Beaconhouse Gulshan A-level and Foundation Public School A-level.

‘C’: The City School PAF Chapter, Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus A-level, JUC ‘A’ and Beaconhouse Cambridge PECHS O/A level.

‘D’: The City School Gulshan Campus, JUC ‘C’, Beaconhouse Secondary School PECHS, and South Shore School.

The girls’ outfits have been equally drawn in two groups.

‘A’: The City School PAF Chapter, Beaconhouse School System Jubilee Campus, JUC, Beaconhouse School System Secondary PECHS and Fahim’s School A’level.

‘B’: Mama Parsi School, Beaconhouse School System Cambridge PECHS, Foundation Public School, South Shore School and Beaconhouse School System Cambridge PECHS O/A level.

According to sports coordinator of the JUC, Shakil Siddiqui, table tennis event will be followed by Inter-school badminton tournament.
