Sports seminar

KARACHI, Oct 25: A two-day international seminar on the decline of sports in the country in general and in Punjab in particular, takes place at a five star hotel in Lahore on Nov 28 and 29.

The seminar is being held under the aegis of chief minister task force for sports, Punjab.

The seminar is the brain-child of former Punjab athlete, Niva Usman Umar, formerly Niva Chanan Khan, who after assuming the role of chairperson of the task force, felt that sports in Punjab was on the verge of decline and needs immediate measures to arrest it.

She has drawn the attention of some key sports figures of the country to suggest ways and means to overcome the bad patch.
