Teenagers detained, tortured

MIRPURKHAS, Oct 25: Town police have arrested a workshop owner and recovered two brothers who were detained for the last three days at a tractor workshop near old Khipro Naka here on Saturday.

Reports said that Abdul Hameed, owner of the tractor workshop, severely tortured the two brothers, Mohammad Hassan, 13, and Faizan, 11 on charges of stealing Rs400 and detained them in his workshop while their father Mohammad Sharif was searching for them in the city.

On the disclosure of Sharif, police raided the workshop and recovered the two minor brothers. They were rushed to Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas where they were admitted.

Hameed said that the boys had sold a spare part for Rs400. On the complaint of Mohammad Sharif, Town police have lodged a case under section 342, 337-A(I) and 337-F(I) and arrested the accused.
