KARACHI, Oct 25: The administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts, Karachi, Justice Khawja Naveed Ahmed, on Saturday extended the deadline for submission of a charge-sheet till Nov 2 against an alleged activist of the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LJ).

The court extended the deadline on the request of the investigation officer of the case.

Rahimullah alias Ali Hasan alias Naeem, who was wanted in six cases, was arrested on September 26 after a shootout in Saeedabad area. The police booked him in police encounter, kidnapping for ransom, illegal possession of weapon, murder, explosive substance act and a plot to kill an SSP of Lyari town cases. He was later remanded in judicial custody.

The court had directed the investigation officer (IO) to submit the charge-sheet on Saturday.

However, the IO appeared before the court and requested more time to collect evidence.
