HYDERABAD, Oct 24: The University of Sindh has issued first provisional merit list of candidates selected for admissions to masters degree programme under quota system.

The university has displayed the list at its website, www.usindh.edu.pk, and the notice boards of Model School Hyderabad and directorate of admissions, Jamshoro campus.

Last date for submission of written objections is October 25 whereas first final merit list will be issued on 27.

Successful candidates will be required to deposit admission fee from October 28 to November 11.

RESEARCH WORK: Research scholar Abdul Razzaq Larik, faculty member of Sachal Sarmast Arts and Commerce College, Hyderabad, presented his MPhil thesis titled “Role and achievements of (former prime minister) Mohammad Khan Junejo” at a seminar at the University of Sindh.

Professor Razia Sultana Rashidi, head of department of Political Science and supervisor of the research work, introduced the researcher and his work. Mr Larik, while presenting his research work, highlighted its objectives.

Professor Dr Iqbal Ahmed Panhwar, dean of faculty of Social Sciences, said that the university provided an opportunity to teachers of affiliated colleges to undertake research work. He said that the university had been providing scholarships to college teachers for MPhil leading to PhD programme.
