LAHORE, Oct 23: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has arrested a former legislator of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) for allegedly occupying 110 kanal official land worth billions of rupees in Mustafa Town.

An ACE team arrested Mian Asif, who won the 2002 general election from NA-121, from his Chauburji Park house. He has been accused of transferring 110 kanal LDA land in his name through bogus documents when the PML-Q was in the government.

A case was registered against him on the complaint of Muhammad Shahbaz in 2007, but he was not arrested. The incumbent government reopened the case against him and he was arrested for ‘land fraud’.
