PESHAWAR, Oct 17: The owner of Arshad Cinema was kidnapped by unidentified armed men here, while he was on his way to his home on Thursday night.

Shahid Khan told the police that his brother Tanveer Khan was on his way home from the cinema that some unidentified persons kidnapped him along with his bodyguard Akbar Ali and driver Iqbal Ghani.

The kidnappers, he said also snatched his car bearing registration No. 2015-Peshawar.

“He talked to me on phone, while leaving the cinema for home, but he didn’t reach home and his phone was also not responding,” Shahid told police at Khazana Police Station. A police official at Khazana Police Station, when contacted told Dawn that it was not clear as to wherefrom the people were kidnapped.
