SUKKUR Oct 16: Police on Thursday booked the vice-principal of the Public Health School on charges of misbehaving with under-training nurses and trying to harass some of them.

While under the influence of alcohol, the vice-principal was taken into custody by the police for medical examination and to ascertain the charges levelled against him by under-training nurses who had staged a protest demonstration against his misbehaviour.

According to reliable sources, the matter was later brought to the notice of the DCO and DPO of Sukkur by the college principal.

The officers ordered the area police to initiate legal proceedings against the accused. It has been learnt that the C section police took the vice-principal to the police station and later to the Civil Hospital Sukkur for medical examination. He was afterwards released on personal surety.

There was no further information about the progress of the case. Dawn tried to contact the principal but she had put her cellphone off.
