Aqeel moves to next round

ISLAMABAD, Oct 14: Pakistan’s Aqeel Khan defeated Thailand’s Peerakit Siributwong in straight sets to move to the second round of the ITF Pakistan Futures International tennis championship’s main round at the PTF Tennis Complex on Tuesday.

Other Pakistan players which included Jalil Khan, Asim Shafik, Jibran Mohammadi, Shahzad Khan, M. Abid Ali Khan and Tanveer Ashiq lost their respective matches.

Jalil, who is Aqeel’s brother, lost 6-2, 6-2 to Russia’s Vadim Alekseenko.
