ISLAMABAD, Oct 14: An American national was found dead in his hotel room on Tuesday, police said.

Jerry Houldson, 61, was staying in room No 240 at Serena Hotel and was to fly to Karachi in the afternoon. When the hotel administration opened the door of his room after failing to get response from inside he was found dead.

Houldson, an industrial machinery dealer, apparently died of heart attack, initial police report suggested.

His body was shifted to the mortuary of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.
