LAHORE, Oct 11: The PID has not as yet issued NoC for the import of Tariq Ali's new book, “The Duel: Pakistan on the Flight Path of American Power” despite the lapse of many days.

The book was referred to Karachi office of the PID for clearance by customs authorities nearly a fortnight ago. From then it was forwarded to the PID headquarters in Islamabad for the NoC.

PID officials informed

Dawn on Saturday that the officer whom the book was given for reading and opinion had not as yet completed her job.

However, they said a related summary would be submitted to the federal information secretary in a day or two, and a final decision on the book would either be made by him or the federal information minister.
