BAHAWALNAGAR, Oct 9: Family of slain taxi driver Irshad Ahmad held a protest demonstration in Lahore on Thursday against Bahawalnagar DSP Nazir Ahmed and urged the chief minister to administer justice to them.

Reports said the sons of the DSP riding a motorcycle had a minor collision with Irshad’s taxi at Bahawali Chowk a day before Eid.

They severely beat him up. Later, DSP Nazir took Irshad to police station and tortured him to death.

Following protests by area people and family members, Bahawalnagar city police registered a case against the DSP, his three sons Faisal, Ramish, Ali and their companions Razi etc, for allegedly killing Irshad.
