Futsal Invitational event

KARACHI, Oct 6: The sports wing of Pukar Welfare Organisation (PWO) is holding its first Futsal Invitational Tournament under floodlights here at the UP Gymkhana Football Ground, North Karachi, from Oct 12.

The tournament will feature 12 teams that have been divided into four groups of three each. The two top teams in each group will go on to the quarter-finals.

According to FIFA rules and regulations, Futsal matches are of 40-minute duration and are played with five players per side. The ideal size of the ground for holding such matches is 40 yards by 20 yards.—Sports Reporter
