KHANEWAL, Oct 6: A bogey of the Karachi-bound Tezgam derailed after it left the Khanewal Junction and reached the level-crossing on Monday.

However, no casualty was reported. The track was cleared after some time and the train resumed its journey.

KILLED: A naib tehsildar was killed while his wife and son sustained injuries in an accident on Kabirwala-Multan Road on Monday.

Reports said that Muhammad Aslam along with his family was proceeding towards Muzaffargarh by his car. Near Nabipur Union Council, the speeding vehicle hit a roadside tree after he lost control over the steering. Resultantly, he died on the spot while his wife Humaira Bibi and son Usama received serious injuries. They were shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan. —Correspondent
