KARACHI: Road cutting

KARACHI, Oct 6: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has asked all nazims to lodge an FIR against anyone found cutting the newly-constructed roads, footpaths, green belts, etc without a prior permission having been obtained from the city government.

The city government’s land department and community police lodged an FIR against Mohammed Iqbal, who was arrested and sent to jail for cutting a portion of the footpath opposite the Urdu University. The NOC of a marriage hall was also cancelled for cutting the adjacent service road.—APP
