TAXILA, Oct 3: Two people were killed when the vehicles they were traveling in collided on Hazro Road near Lub in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantonment police station.

Police sources said a Rawalpindi-bound passenger van (RPT-4232) collided with a truck (MD-559) near Lub while trying to overtake. As a result, two persons traveling on the van died. One of them was identified as Shafaqat Ali.

The dead were shifted to a local hospital as the police reached the spot late. Wah Cantonment police have registered a case.

In another incident, a man died after shooting himself accidentally in Kachha village in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal police station.

Asif was cleaning his pistol in his house when he accidentally pulled the trigger and suffered a bullet wound to his chest.

He was taken to POF Hospital in Wah Cantonment where he died.
