LAHORE, Sept 29: The Lahore High Court has directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) not to harass the wife of Sibtul Hasan Shah alias Double Shah.

A division bench, comprising Justice Hasnat Ahmed Khan and Justice M.A Zafar, passed this order on Monday in a petition filed by Shah’s wife.

The petitioner told court that she and her daughters had been attending the NAB offices in order to be investigated in charges leveled against her husband but no fault so far was found on their part.

She said since the LHC had issued direction to the NAB not to harass her daughters, the NAB officials had started harassing her and her other relatives by raiding on their houses.

She said that assets more than the claim of claimants had been deposited to the NAB, but it was not paying to the claimants.

The petitioner said the NAB was deliberately not paying the amount to the people merely to get profit from the amount.
