KARACHI, Sept 29: Eight ships carrying chemicals, containers and wheat are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, United Asia, Great Leader to unload general cargo, Changuinola Bay to load rice, Valiant Uni Tank, tankers and Atermon to offload wheat were accommodated berths after the departure of over a dozen vessels.
The departing ships were led by Oel Ability, Cosco Dammam, Eric G. Gibson, Hanjin Chittagong, Deja Bhum, H & H Wave, Oel Transworld, Xu Chang, Johar, Pheafan, Calmy Coral, Wu Yi Hai and Flag Investors.
While Batavia, Valiant, Great Leader, Bunga Teratai Dua, Uni Tank, Champion, Aredia and Ainaftis are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 267,000 tons comprising 123,000 tons of export cargo including 63,800 tons of molasses and 143,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: R.M. Power with 40,500 tons of wheat, Bengal Orchid and Diamond Park with chemicals, APL Chicago, Gulf Bridge, Thuringia Express, Cape Negro and China Star with containers.
