HYDERABAD, Sept 27: The general secretary of the Pakistan Workers Federation, interior of Sindh, Abdul Latif Nizamani, additional general secretary Mehboob Ali Qureshi and others condemning the proposed privatization of Qadirpur gas field and other national enterprises termed it a conspiracy against the working class.

In a joint statement issued here on Saturday, they said that the national assets were being privatised at the behest of the World Bank and the IMF. They feared that the country would suffer irreparable losses due to this privatization process. They said that thousands of workers would also be rendered jobless.

They said that the proposed privatisation of Qadirpur gas field and other national enterprises should be stopped forthwith otherwise workers would be compelled to launch a protest movement.

EXAMINATIONS: The University of Sindh has announced the schedule of examinations of BA part-I in colleges and MA previous (external candidates) under annual examination 2008.

According to a notification, the examination of external candidates for BA part-I and MA previous will be held from Oct 14. A detailed schedule of the examination has been dispatched to the colleges concerned with the instructions that copies of the timetable should be displayed at notice boards of the colleges.
