Tailors voice angst against power outage

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 27: Tailors Welfare Association on Saturday held a rally and a demonstration in Moro in protest against hours-long unannounced loadshedding during the peak season of their work.

The protesters led by Manzoor Bhatti, Tariq Chandio and Ashraf Leghari started their march from Shahi Bazaar and reached the press club where they burnt tyres on the road and suspended vehicular traffic for about an hour.

They said that they would not be able to hand over stitched clothes to their clients on Eidul Fitr if the situation did not improve immediately and demanded that Hesco authorities solve their problem and rid them of unannounced load-shedding.

DOGBITE VICIM DIES: A man bitten by a dog about one and a half month ago died in Haji Rasool Bux Korai village near Moro on Saturday.

Reports said that Ghulam Qadir, 40, died because he was not very regular in getting anti-rabies injection administered.

KILLED: Five unidentified armed men reportedly killed a village notable in Khaskheli village near Nawab Sangi late on Friday night when he was returning home form his fields.

Reports reaching here said that hundreds of villagers from Lakha road and other villages went after the killers after they learnt about death of Abdul Ghaffar Sangi in an attack.

Later, police arrested six men from Khaskheli village on suspicion.
