Sost dry port: poll schedule notified

HUNZA, Sept 27: Civil judge Minhas Hussain has notified the schedule of election to the Sost Dry Port Trust.

According to the notification sent to the chairman SDPT Ghazanfar Ali Khan, the election will be held on October 6 under the supervision of the civil judge.

The announcement has been made in the light of a decision of the chief court Gilgit, which had directed the civil judge to ensure the election of the trust within 15 days.

The civil court has instructed Mr Ghazanfar to convene the general body meeting on October 6 in order to elect the chairman, senior vice-chairman and other office-bearers of the trust.

The candidates will submit their nomination papers on October 3 and the scrutiny will be held on October 4.
