Sports minister to review PCB affairs

ISLAMABAD, Sept 26: Federal Sports Minister Najamuddin Khan will hold a meeting to review the affairs of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) here at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Saturday.

Federal Secretary Sports Ashraf Khan told Dawn on Friday that “the meeting would be participated in by former Test cricketers, renowned sports analysts, regional cricket associations heads and three ministers.”

“Besides Sports Minister Najamuddin, Federal Law Minister and Kashmir Affairs Minister will also attend,” Ashraf said.

About the meeting agenda, the secretary sports pointed out that it would include discussions on ways of improving the standard of the game, reviewing the constitution flaws and revival of domestic cricket in the country.”

Regarding domestic cricket, Ashraf said: “We have a well-researched input of the domestic level cricket but it would be implemented only after consulting all the stake holders including former test players, regional cricket heads and others.”
