KARACHI, Sept 23: Five Ships scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, furnace oil and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and wheat also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, CMA CGM Sambhar, Maersk Novazzano, Captain Markos, Nova Noor, S.D Glory, Eastern Bright, Vema Ocean, Chemroad Wing and Pas Dignity, were busy in loading/offloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 90,309 tons comprising 72,179 tons of import and 18,130 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Maersk Virginia, Nordina-G and Eastern Bright sailed out while CMA CGM Sambhar and Maersk Novazzano were expected to depart on Tuesday.
