MURREE, Sept 22: Fourteen people were killed and 21 others injured when a passenger coaster fell into ravine near Ghora Gali on Monday.

According to police, the accident occurred because the driver of the coaster picked up a quarrel with the driver of a car and got off the vehicle without pulling the hand-brake. The coaster started moving and fell into ravine.

Six people died on the spot and eight in hospital, a police official said.

The injured were taken to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital and CMH in Murree.

Rescue 1122 said that a two-year-old girl found alive had been handed over to a local councillor. The coaster driver escaped.
