WANA, May 8: A man was killed in a clash with the US allied forces in the Barmal area of Afghanistan, sources said.

The deceased, identified as Darya Khan Malikshai, was a suspected Taliban and Al Qaeda fighter.

According to reports, the allied forces laid a siege to the house of Darya Khan in the Barmal area of Afghanistan, bordering the South Waziristan Agency, on Tuesday night. When Darya Khan realized that he was besieged, he escaped the house from a backdoor and exchanged firev with the foreign troops, the sources said, adding that Malikshai received a bullet and died on the spot.

The sources said that Darya Khan was laid to rest at his ancestral village Larh in the Barmal area. A large number of people attended his funeral.
