Aqeel steals limelight

KARACHI, Sept 19: Leg-spinner Aqeel Ahmed captured four wickets to spin Standard Chartered Bank to an exciting eight-run victory over Saudi Pak Bank in the fourth Aga Khan University (AKU) Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the AKU Ground on Thursday.

Aqeel finished with figures of four for 13 runs and pacer Nasir Khan snapped up two wickets for 23 runs as SPB were bowled out for 124 in 19.1 overs.

Atiq-ur-Rehman hit an entertaining 43 off 27 balls with three sixes and two boundaries.

Earlier, Naved Talib scored 51 off 40 balls with two fours and one six and Kamran Ahmed hit four boundaries in his 21 as SCB collected 132 for loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.

Vijay Hazare claimed four wickets for 27 runs.
