Oil prices bounce above $103

LONDON, Sept 19: Oil prices rose for a third day running on Friday, briefly surpassing 103 dollars a barrel at the end of an extremely volatile week for financial markets. New York’s main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in October, jumped $3.45 to $101.33 a barrel after earlier hitting an intra-day high of 103.64. London’s Brent North Sea crude for November gained $2.72 to $97.91 a barrel.—AFP
