PESHAWAR, May 8: The city police on Tuesday recovered an owner of a fast food restaurant with two waiters who were kidnapped by five armed men on the University Road on Monday.

According to sources, the owner of the Chief Burger, Tahir Pervez, son of Mohammad Shafiq, along with two waiters Jehanzeb and Haji Faqir Mohammad were kidnapped after they had closed the restaurant. Mohammad Pervez had Rs200,000 cash when he was kidnapped, they added.

The city police recovered the three persons and arrested five kidnappers during an operation in Regi Lilma area, sources said and added that the police had the assistance of the Frontier Constabulary which cordoned off the area after early inquiry.

The kidnapped men were kept in Khaliq Qila area of Regi Lilma, they said. Names of the kidnappers are Farman, Dad Mohammad, Fahim, Imtiaz and Nazar Mohammad.—Bureau
