KARACHI, Sept 18: Ten ships carrying urea, containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where over one dozen ships, City of Xiamen, Sima Sahba, Hyundai Duke, APL Cairo to unload and load containers, Lalazar to unload crude oil, Chemway Arrow to load ethanol, Al-Soor-2 to offload high-speed diesel, Hanjin Calcutta to offload 25,000 tons of urea, Nepheli to unload coal, Fenja and Ocean Project to unload and load general cargo, Ben Aicha and Hellenic Horizon to load molasses and clinker were berthed on Thursday.

Sailing was also active as Pac Antlia, Bunga Teratai-4, APL Shenzhen, Cape Ferrol, Nanos and Star Dream departed, while Conti Express, City of Xiamen, Valiant, Ben Aucha, Hyundai Duke, Sima Sahba and Hellenic Horizon are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 120,000 tons comprising 43,179 tons of export cargo and 76,494 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Lallazar with crude oil, Chemway Arrow, to load ethanol, Al-Soor-2 with high-speed diesel, Kota Hapas, King Brian, Limari with containers, Hanjin Clcutta with 25,000 tons of urea, Nepheli with coal, Fanja and Ocean Project No. 2 with general cargo.
