Five killed as trailer rams into van

CHAKWAL, Sept 15: Five people were killed and 12 others injured when a speedy trailer rammed into a passenger van near Bhoon town on Chakwal-Sargodha road on Monday.

The van carrying mostly government employees was coming to Chakwal from the towns of Gahi and Gafanwala in Sargodha. Some passengers were also sitting on the rooftop of the vehicle.

When the van reached Nullah Sooj, the trailer hit it. As a result, four passengers sitting on the rooftop, who were identified as Mohammad Imran, Sher Mohammad, Qalb-i-Abbas and Mohammad Hafeez, died on the spot while Asad Mehmood expired after reaching the DHQ Hospital.

The injured were admitted to the DHQ hospital.—Agencies
