LAHORE, May 8: Pakistan’s ambassador to Libya has urged businessmen to invest in African countries to promote bilateral trade.

Speaking at a meeting with the members of LCCI here on Wednesday, Air Marshal Farooq Qari said the businessmen should take the initiative and invest in the African countries considering these as their potential markets.

He said a high-level meeting with African businessmen would also be convened in Islamabad next month that would prove a milestone in the bilateral trade.

Talking about trade with Libya, he said the businessmen should visit that country and open warehouses for exporting to other countries. He, however, advised them to make all transactions in cash.
