Pakistan face exit at ITTF Junior event

KARACHI, Sept 12: Pakistani players were no match to their opponents in the ITTF junior circuit which commenced in the Indian city of Pune on Thursday.

Pakistan was blanked 3-0 in all their first stage matches of cadet and juniors boys and girls categories failing to advance to knockout quarter-finals.

The circuit concludes on Sunday.

Cadet Boys (first stage): (Group 2) Korea Republic bt Pakistan 3-0 (Ri Ham So bt Mohammad Rameez 11-7, 11-2, 11-2; Joo Kim Min bt Salman Virk 8-11, 12-10, 11-4, 11-5; Ri Ham So bt Mohammad Rameez 11-3, 11-7, 11-7).

India B bt Pakistan 3-0 (Adhilani Arnab bt Mohammad Rameez 11-7, 11-9, 11-9; Avik Das bt Salman Virk 9-11, 11-5, 11-9, 13-11; Adhilani Arnab bt Mohammad Rameez 11-7, 4-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-2).

Cadet Girls (first stage): (Group 2): Singapore bt Pakistan 3-0 (Syun Li Isabella bt Sana Erum 11-3, 11-3, 11-4; Sylvia Look Pai Yoo bt Abeera Ali 11-7, 11-6, 11-5; Syun Li Isabella bt Sana Erum 11-6, 11-4, 11-5).

India C bt Pakistan 3-0 (Showla Parte bt Sana Erum 11-4, 13-11, 11-5; Vodka Gorg bt Abeera Ali 11-3, 11-6, 11-1; Showla Parte bt Sana Erum 11-4, 11-4, 11-2).

Junior Boys (first stage): (Group 4): Iran bt Pakistan 3-0 (Noshad Alamiyan bt Faheem Raza 11-1, 11-5, 11-9; Hamid Reza bt Abdul Rahim 11-3, 12-10, 11-4; Noshad Alamiyan bt Faheem Raza 11-1, 11-6, 11-8).

Sweden bt Pakistan 3-0 (Carl Akerlind bt Abdul Rahim 11-3, 11-7, 11-5; Simon bt Faheem Raza 11-7, 11-6, 11-8; Carl Akerlind bt Abdul Rahim 11-8, 11-3, 12-10).
