SIALKOT, Sept 12: Bhambanwala police found a body, believed to be of a Hindu, in the BRB canal on Friday.

On the right arm of the body, a few words in the Hindi language were written and the male was also not circumcised, which led police and people to believe that the body was of a Hindu. There were signs of torture on the body and in the head.

Police handed over the body to the Daska-based Young Blood Foundation for its cremation.

Foundation Chairman Bashir Ahmad said they had contacted the Hindus in Sialkot for body’s cremation. The body was shifted to Daska Civil Hospital for autopsy.—Correspondent
