Drug smuggler killed

QUETTA, Sept 12: A drug smuggler was killed in an exchange of fire with security forces on the Pakistan-Afghan border near Chaman on Friday.

According to sources, the Pishin Militia wing of

Frontier Corps intercepted a convoy of donkeys carrying narcotics which was crossing the border from the Abdullah post early in the morning.

The smugglers opened fire on the militia and in the ensuing exchange of fire one smuggler was killed but his accomplices escaped to Afghanistan.

“We seized 445 kg of fine quality hashish,” a security official told Dawn on phone from the border.

He said that all the donkeys had been captured.
