Twins follow sibling after one month

SIALKOT, Sept 11: A woman gave birth to twins at a private clinic a month after the birth of a girl in Daska.

Reports said Razia Bibi, 27, wife of an electrician, Rashid Mahmood, had given birth to a girl about a month ago. The birth was supervised by a traditional birth attendant.

After about one month of the girl’s birth, Razia Bibi felt pain and was advised by her doctor to have an ultra-sound examination. The report of the test revealed that Razia was still expecting and this time it were twin boys. She gave birth to the twins at a private hospital where the mother and the newborns were said to be healthy.

Dr Razia Butt, who attended the birth of the twins, said such a condition occurred rarely and if not properly looked after it could be dangerous for the mother. —Correspondent
