Elite eateries fined for poor kitchens

LAHORE, Sept 10: The City District Government of Lahore food squad on Wednesday fined 44 eateries in Gulberg, Township, Faisal Town and Garden Town primarily owing to unhygienic conditions at their kitchens.

Some 143 samples of food items were collected from 54 eateries while asking the managements to improve condition of their kitchens and obtain licences otherwise their outlets would be sealed.

The eateries, located on Gulberg Main Market, M.M Alam Road, Noor Jahan Road and Mini Market area are: Café Zauq, Ziafat, KFC, Mirchi, Kings and Queens, Pizza Hut, Nando’s, One Potato Two Potato, Village, Gun Smoke, Memories, Dhaba, Chicken Café, Café Superative, Dow Town, Fry Zone, Café Tea and Company, Essa Ji Super Store, Seven Star, Golden Biryani and Tikka House, Tai Wa, Mian, Bilal, Cloud Nine, Chengez, Ravi Café, Sarhad Hotel, Salt and Pepper Grill, Sichuan, Sin Kiang Chinese, Domeno, New Kabash and Subway restaurants.

The food outlets on Maulana Shaukat Ali Road are: Tabaq, Ravi, Dining Hall, Nadeem, Attiq Tikka Shop and Zahoor restaurants besides Lahore Broast on Peco Road, Gourmet Restaurant at Faisal Town and Kims Family Restaurant at Garden Town. — Staff Reporter
