QUETTA, Sept 7: Asif Ali Zardari’s election as president will bring about a positive change for Balochistan, says Chief Minister Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani.

Talking to reporters here he said the suspension of activities by Baloch resistance organisations was a positive move. “It will help in talks for a ceasefire,” Nawab Raisani said, adding that he would soon go to Islamabad to take up all Balochistan issues with the president and the prime minister.

Speaker of the Balochistan Assembly Mohammad Aslam Bhootani also welcomed Mr Zardari’s election.
