KHAIRPUR, Sept 4: A meeting of the Sachal Yadgar Committee (SYC) on Thursday finalised arrangements for 187th Urs celebration of Sufi Saint Sachal Sarmast.

It was also decided to hold Sachal National Literary Conference and a sufi concert in Daraza Sharif.

Researchers and scholars, including Mohammad Ibrahim Joyo, Shaikh Aziz, Agha Saleem, Shoukat Shoro, Qazi Khadim, Dr Dur Mohammad Pathan and Hyder Sindhi would read their papers.

Abida Parveen, Humera Channa, Sachal’s Faqirs and other local singers will perform in concert. It was decided to issue special cards to singers to avoid gatecrashes.

The meeting was attended by the Committee Secretary Moula Bux Larik, Mukhtiar Malik, Qurban Mangi, Khan Mohammad Manganhar and other members of the committee.

ROBBERY: Armed men robbed motorcyclists on way to Piryaloi from different areas late Wednesday evening.

Armed men deprived Shah Mehmodd, Mohammad Sharif, Deedar and his wife of cash, mobile phones and other valuables near Nalka Morr.

Meanwhile, Pir Jo Goth police raided homes of Kamoo and Habibullah of Shaikh community for the arrest of buffalo thieves and picked up three minor boys Pappu, Zaheer and Imtiaz Shaikh who were later released.

Police denied the raid and arrest of boys.
