LARKANA, Sept 1: All claims of the present government have proved hollow slogans, said the Chairman, Sindh National Front, Mumtaz Ali Bhutto.

Talking to journalists in Mirpur Bhutto on Monday he said that the government had failed on almost all fronts, right from addressing poverty to taking the revenge of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination.

He said PPP’s slogans of democracy had turned farce as democracy flourishes where politics was based on principles with effective opposition in assemblies. He said politicians were involved in ‘fake politics’ that had traumatised the country.

He said the PML (N) and the PML (Q) had sought certificates from the US regarding mental health of Asif Zardari but they would not produce these in Election Commission or courts.

He said a mentally-ill person cannot become President of Pakistan and was not even eligible for becoming the member of assembly.

Asif Zardari could be disqualified on that basis. He suspected that a deal behind a curtain was in the offing where all parties could get share of the cake.
